Install ClickSight with Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is useful when you want to manage ClickSight without editing site files directly. You create one custom HTML tag, trigger it on all pages, and publish the container.

Installation

Create a Custom HTML tag

Paste the ClickSight snippet into a new Custom HTML tag inside GTM.

Use an All Pages trigger

Most sites should load ClickSight on every page so sessions and navigation can be reconstructed correctly.

Step by step

  • Add the `All Pages` trigger to the tag.
  • If you need to exclude admin or private areas, set those exclusions carefully.
  • Save the tag and container changes.
