What to expect after installation
Once the script is working, ClickSight should begin receiving page views and session data from your website visitors.
Step by step
- A fresh session should appear after you visit the website and browse a few pages.
- The dashboard should eventually move out of setup mode once real traffic is detected.
- Events and heatmaps may take a little longer than the first session to become useful because they need interactions to occur.

How to create a test session yourself
The fastest way to verify the setup is to act like a real visitor on your own site.

How to confirm ClickSight is receiving data
Use a combination of the dashboard, sessions page, and browser DevTools.

- Check whether a new session appears in the Sessions area.
- Open the browser Network tab and confirm the ClickSight collect requests return success.
- If event tracking is enabled, also confirm the event ingestion request returns success and the Events page starts updating.
